Services:
I offer the full design services as outlined in RIBA "plan of work". Firstly we ask questions, listen and understand what you are trying to achieve. Then together we develop a project brief. We will then develop solutions and propose ways to achieve the goals and beyond. I will guide you through a whole range of processes - from coming up with an initial design to seeing the project through planning, and construction on site. I collaborate with select structural engineers and contractors.
Housing Consultant: A particular interest is Housing and the Home. Working with Design Engine, Karakusevic Carson and the Homes & Community Agency I monitored the £60K Housing design competition, analysing the success and failures in a lessons learnt document. This led to further investigation of the regulations, guides and codes for the early development of The London Mayors Housing Design Guide. Further research with Karakusevic Carson led to a social housing timeline exhibited at the RIBA and published by the AJ.
Event and Overlay: I spent a thoroughly enjoyable time working at Populous and the London 2012 Olympic bid team where I learnt the discipline of event overlay and in particular IOC overlay requirements,
Fees:
Fees vary depending on the complexity of the project and level of service expected. We can charge on the basis of total project costs, on a fixed price lump sum or on a time charge basis.
